Biography

Dr. Mary Ann Wisniewski earned her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a double degree in Child & Family Studies and Continuing & Vocational Education. In addition, she received a Certificate for Leadership Educators from Harvard University. Dr. Wisniewski has taught learners ages 3-63, and she enjoys them all. She believes that learning is an active process, and that individuals learn through interaction with others. Rather than simply lecturing, she varies the learning environment so that students work in pairs and in small groups, both in the classroom and in the community. Most of Dr. Wisniewski's classes require students to become involved in a community project so that they are more readily able to connect theory to practice.
